Your first appointment
Welcome to your Initial Consultation!
This visit is designed to help us gain a thorough understanding of your health and determine how we can best support your goals.
Your chiropractor will begin by reviewing your detailed health history and discussing any concerns, symptoms, or questions you may have. From there, we will perform a series of INSiGHT Neurological Scans to assess how your nervous system is functioning and adapting to stress.
Next, you will complete a comprehensive physical examination, which may include posture analysis, range of motion testing, orthopaedic and neurological assessments, muscle testing, weight distribution analysis, and a spinal examination. Once your assessment is complete, you can also expect to receive your first chiropractic adjustment during this visit.
INSiGHT Neurological Scans
and what they tell us
The neuroPULSE, neuroCORE, and neuroTHERMAL technology are the three INSiGHT Neurological Scans that we use at our office. These scans allow us to view how your nervous system is adapting to stress in 3 different areas. You can expect these scans to be done at your initial appointment and additionally at your progress examinations to re-focus care where needed.
The neuroPulse INSiGHT HRV scan tells us about your energy levels and how your body is able to adapt to daily stressors. This scan is done through looking at your heart rate variability over the course of 3 minutes.
The neuroCORE Surface EMG scan shows us which muscles in your back and neck may be working harder, or less efficiently than expected to help maintain an upright posture. This scan is performed while you are sitting upright.
The neuroTHERMAL scan detects patterns of temperature variation that may be associated with changes in autonomic nervous system regulation or inflammatory processes. These findings are considered alongside your health history and physical examination.
